THE COMING HOLOCAUST
A.k.a. THE DAY OF WRATH

A frightening concept indeed! We all thought we saw the last of that didn't we? But there is a day coming that will surpass it, but this time it will be on a global scale. I know it's a scary thing to accept the fact that this world is on a self destructive course and getting worse every day. Hey, it's the only "home" we have. If this place "goes up in smoke", where will that leave us? Stick with me. There is a happy ending, But first there are a few things that I would like to present for your consideration.
We all know that it is not an unusual thing for us to ignore or deny the obvious.  Some reasons...we don't want our party pooped.  Or maybe we think that believing the truth about something will demand a change on our part and we do not want to change (too lazy, too tired, too complacent, too scared). Perhaps, in considering how changing our point of view could affect our lives, we decide that it would be too great of a sacrifice for us to make.
In the 1930's there were many in Europe and other countries, leaders as well as citizens, who were not accepting the obvious implications of what was coming upon their world. Some even denied the reports of eyewitnesses. They just could not accept the fact that there was such evil in the world and a hatred that could do such things.  I titled this page "The Coming Holocaust" because unfortunately we see this denial in affect now but on a larger scale.
Will we continue to ignore the warnings and signs of our time?  Can't you hear the whole creation "screaming out loud" that something is wrong? In our generation alone we have witnessed more man-made destruction in the natural world than in any other. There is a hole in the ozone layer twice the size of the United States (as per ABC news Sept. 1998) allowing harmful ultra-violet rays through, rain forests being mowed down by industry, devastatingly affecting the atmosphere on a global scale, pollutions in the air we breathe, contaminations in the water we drink and the food we eat, creatures being destroyed in monumental numbers resulting in an eco-system that is in such disarray, and yet, we are told to ignore all of these obvious warnings and signs that are right before our eyes in favor of a "consoling" lie that everything will be all right.  So we buy into the idea that we can save the forests, save the animals, and, with proper diet and with regular exercise, we can even save ourselves!  Or we put our trust in technology hoping that it will fix everything. Who knows, maybe in the not too distant future we will be able to move the whole operation up to Mars or how about: "Bang zoom, to the Moon Alice"?
Now, if your heart is set on this world, believing lies that speak of a better tomorrow would seem to be the convenient thing to do. But if you want the truth, you will have to accept that the life we live in this world is not all there is. It is a very temporary experience in the eternal scope of things. A precious moment we all have to make the choice of where we are going to spend that eternity, but I'll get back to that later.
A question...If there is a God and HE is good, then why is there so much evil in the world? Because there also is a devil and he has been leading this present world on its destructive course ever since Adam, who originally had rulership over all of God's creation, handed it over to him. The Bible calls the devil "the god of this world" (2 Corinthians 4:4). Considering who is at the helm of this worldly system, is it any wonder that things are in the mess that they are? And it is going to get much worse. The devil hates everything that God loves and, in the times to come, will express his hatred without measure on all of God's creation. This is the coming Day of Wrath that people are being warned to escape from. "Escape?" you say. Yes! There is an escape brought to you by none other than the God of Heaven and His son Jesus Christ. God, seeing this day coming, devised a plan to remove from harms way as many as would allow Him to do so. It's called "The Rapture" by some. Others call it "The Appearing", still others call it "The Great Escape." It will occur just before the "world hits the fan." Jesus will come down from Heaven to rescue all those who believe in Him and, with the sound of a trumpet and a shout that will raise the dead,(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) He will call all who believe in Him to come to be where He is. Really! He promised.

"In my Fathers house there are many mansions, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am you may be also."         John 14:2&3

We’ll be given brand new bodies just like Jesus had when God raised Him from the dead. (Philippians 3:20&21) Bodies that can never die, get sick or feel pain and, as for tears, the only kind we'll be shedding will be tears of joy! Sounds outrageous doesn't it? Well, to be perfectly honest with you, I think it is even more outrageous to believe that someone, somewhere is gonna come along and fix this world, making it a good, safe, fair and happy place for all to live. Actually though, there will be someone coming who will make such a claim. The deceiver called the anti(pseudo)-christ who will trick a very frightened world into believing that he is the Messiah who has come to save them and their world. I say frightened because tens of millions of people will suddenly disappear in a flash at the Rapture and the horror and anguish of those left behind will be unimaginable. And since these people would not believe in the love of the truth and get saved, they will now believe the lie instead.(2 Thessalonians 2:10 and 11)
But back to the real Messiah, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The redeemer for whom the faithful of Israel awaited. The promised one who would cleanse them of their sin, bringing in a New Covenant that could never be broken.  A Covenant that was fool-proof, promising a permanent reconciliation with God. (Jeremiah 31:31-34) This was accomplished through the faithful obedience of the Messiah Jesus who offered His sinless life as a ransom in order to buy us back from our captor, the devil, into whose hands this world and everyone in it had been delivered. Although this salvation was promised to Israel by the prophets of God, it also spilled over into the Gentile world (Gentile means non-Jew). The prophet Isaiah said:

"It is too small a thing for you (referring to Messiah) to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth." Isaiah 49:6

God is calling all to repentance for there is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile for all have sinned. God is showing HIS mercy upon us all.

"Whoever believes that Jesus is the Messiah is born of God."    John 5:1

"If you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' (Ruler, Messiah, Savior) and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved!"
Romans 10:9

What are you waiting for? The day of wrath? It will be too late then.   The choice, of course, is yours to make. No one is going to be forced to spend eternity with God and with Jesus but think of the alternative. You have the Day of Wrath which will be a 7 year nightmare when the devil, in all of his fury, will be unleashed on the world...a world full of people who were left behind to experience this horror simply because they were too proud to display just one moment of humility before their Creator who sent HIS own Son to die for their sin and before Christ who carried out God's plan perfectly by offering His own sinless life in exchange for their sinful one so as to reconcile them back to God and make this salvation available on a gift basis to all who would believe. What a tragedy to miss out on such an offer. And this tragedy will culminate in the final judgment, whereby an individual resurrected in the unredeemed state will condemn themself to the everlasting separation from God which is called the Second Death. (Revelation 6-20) CHOOSE LIFE!!!
